Since there’s something special waiting for us in a calendar’s pockets, waking up on December mornings are a little easier. The excitement is real but we can’t forget the philanthropy of the season and the message of giving and sharing kindness that is the backbone of all the Christmas TV specials, as well as something I try to impart to my daughter before the lights and gifts get too distracting.
A twist on the traditional chocolate-filled advent calendar is a Kindness Calendar where in addition to the exciting pre-breakfast chocolates, is a note to share something, spread love, or donate to someone who needs a little help.
