The summer is always such a hard time to dress for. It’s too hot for my dress shirts and t-shirts always feel too casual especially for going to work or when I want to look put-together for going out afterward.
Introducing Criquet shirts, based in Austin, Texas and is owned in part by actor and stylish gent, Luke Wilson.

Why Luke Wilson? Glad you asked! Here’s a bit from Hobson and Billy, the creators of Criquet:
“If a few years ago, you had asked us which celebrity we thought most embodied the spirit of Criquet, Luke Wilson would have been at the top of the list.
He’s cool, calm, collected, with a healthy dose of irreverent humor. He’s the guy you want to play 36 with, followed by a five-hour happy hour. A modern-day Ty Webb, if you will.
With a preference for old-school golf shirts (ever seen The Wendell Baker Story?), a love of golf, a sense of humor straight out of his most beloved films, and not to mention a Lone Star birthplace, we couldn’t have asked for a better partner.”

Some of the shirts have names inspired by some of Luke’s movies, including ‘You’re my Boy Blue’ from Old School, Life Aquatic, and Royal Tenenbaum.
In the interest of looking good, but mainly feeling comfortable, I’ve just ordered a few for myself, including the ‘Stretch Players Shirt in Navy Blue.
But there are loads to choose from, including sweaters, shorts, henleys, and jackets.
Stay tuned to my Instagram for too many photos of me strutting around and being all comfy and keeping cool this summer. It’s gonna be a long one so I might as well dress for it.
