Christmas is fast approaching. Oh sure it’s all looking very Fall-like right now, but as soon as Halloween is over, it’s basically the holiday season.

I always loved sitting and reading the weird and amazing world records in the famous Guinness books, as I’m sure many of you did (or still do).

I’m giving away three books which, hopefully will be delivered in time for Christmas morning, with a little help from either Santa or Canada Post, whomever isn’t too busy.

One lucky winner will win:

win guinness books, contest, social dad, Guinness world records books, Guinness World Records 2018, Gamer's Edition, Animals Edition

  • Guinness World Records 2018
  • Guinness World Records 2018 – Animals Edition
  • Guinness World Records 2018 – Gamer’s Edition

The contest is open until November 15th 2017 for Canadian residents.

  8. Every year, I look forward to Christmas Eve. We have a house full beginning in mid afternoon. For dinner, we have a fondue. We have so much food to eat, we can barely move by mid evening, when the people with kids go home to get the kids ready for Santa. We have a gift exchange, carols, games, and tons of fun. It is my most favourite Christmas tradition in our family! Thanks for the awesome giveaway opportunity!

  13. Our favorite Christmas tradition is to make reindeer footprints in the snow outside with a stick and then get the kids to go look at them. They get so excited! We always let them open a Christmas Eve present and then we put the rest of the gifts under the tree after they fall asleep.

We spend Christmas Eve driving around and looking at lights. We return home to watch a couple of Christmas movies and have some hot chocolate and prepare for the arrival of Santa.

On Christmas Eve we all wear Santa hats, drive around listening to and singing along w/Christmas music as we admire the decorations and lights. When we get home it’s a Christmas movie suitable for all ages and some hot chocolate. Just before bed the children get santa’s snack and the carrots for the deer all laid out.

  22. Growing up, we never had any Christmas traditions, unless ya count not opening any presents and could only peak in our stocking until my parents got up. Today, nothing to speak of either. Our home is always an open door. We rarely make plans as people come and go. I guess that could be a tradition as it’s something we have done each year.
