At last, we had the perfect combination of a sunny day and no scheduled appointments, play dates, or activities. It was time to finish the lemonade stand and make some money.
In case you missed Part One and Two, here are the links:
While my nieces were away, I used a little No More Nails and some small screws to stick the four wooden crates together. Once they were secure, I attached the four caster wheels and side beams. The next morning I attached the top bar and added the hooks for the top bunting.

The girls worked on the bunting for the top and the front of the stand, stirred up the pink and original lemonades, as well as baked some simple ‘just add water’ oatmeal cookies.

The finished stand was wheeled to a nearby bike route where we were sure to sell lots. However, it looked like all the cyclists were either enjoying the long downhill, or puffing hard to get up the other way and had no intention of stopping for refreshments.
After a few minutes of patiently waiting (or rolling around and doing cartwheels) we sold a few cups to some passers-by, as well as got lots of pointing and smiles from people in their cars.
The girls seemed pretty proud of themselves for working so hard on their project, and I hope I earned some Uncle-points in the process.

A huge thanks, again goes to Home Depot Canada for sponsoring this project and kicking off the summer with a fun way to get kids thinking about DIY, baking, making money, and rolling around in the grass.
