At EyeLine, we believe that your words are your own. We designed EyeLine to be a private, secure, and offline-first utility for macOS. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data—which, simply put, is by not handling it at all.

1. Data Collection

EyeLine does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information.

  • No Analytics: We do not track how you use the app.
  • No Accounts: You do not need to create an account or log in to use EyeLine.
  • No Server Uploads: The scripts and text you type or paste into EyeLine remain strictly on your local device. We do not have servers, and we cannot see your text.

2. User Content (Your Scripts)

The text you enter into the EyeLine teleprompter is processed entirely within your Mac’s local memory (RAM).

  • If you close the app without saving (depending on future updates), the data is cleared.
  • If we introduce a “Save” feature in the future, your files will be stored locally in the macOS App Sandbox, accessible only by you.

3. Permissions and macOS Integration

EyeLine requires minimal permissions to function:

  • Window Management: The app functions as a floating window (“Always on Top”) to remain visible over other applications like Zoom or Teams. It does not record your screen or capture content from other windows.
  • Camera & Microphone: EyeLine is designed to sit near your camera notch, but it does not access or use your camera or microphone hardware at any time.

4. Third-Party Services

EyeLine does not integrate with any third-party SDKs, advertising networks, or tracking tools. Your usage is completely private.

5. Children’s Privacy

EyeLine does not collect data from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our features (e.g., if we add iCloud Sync support). If we make significant changes, we will notify you through the app or our App Store listing.
