1. Introduction ClauseCloud (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our Chrome Extension handles data.

2. Data Collection & Usage

  • Local Processing: ClauseCloud scans the text of the webpage you are currently viewing only when you click the “Scan for Flags” button. All analysis is performed locally within your browser.
  • No Data Transmission: We do not collect, store, or transmit any text, contracts, or personal information from the pages you scan to our servers or any third parties.
  • No User Tracking: We do not track your browsing history or use cookies to identify you.

3. Permissions

  • activeTab: Used only to access the content of the current tab when you initiate a scan.
  • scripting: Used to inject the negotiation sidebar and analysis logic into the document you are reviewing.

4. Third-Party Access Since no data is collected, no data is shared with third parties, advertisers, or data brokers.

5. Changes to This Policy We may update this policy occasionally. Any changes will be reflected by a new “Effective Date.”
